Zafeiria Barmparessou

Zafeiria Barmparessou, MD, MSc, studied Medicine at the University of Patras, from where she graduated in 2007. She completed her residency in 2017 at the Department of Respiratory Failure, at “Sotiria” General Hospital for Chest Diseases, where she specialized in Pulmonology. In 2012 she completed her postgraduate study in Alternative Therapeutic Systems and obtained her MSc degree from Aegean University. The title of her thesis is “Alternative Treatments for Smoking Cessation”. She is a PhD candidate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and since 2017 she has been working for the smoking cessation clinic in Evaggelismos Hospital. Currently she is working as a physician at the Medical Centre of Peristeri, where she leads a recently initiated smoking cessation clinic. What motivates her most is finding ways by which to empower people to stop smoking and regain their health.
